Georgia State Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Richard Woods has been instrumental in recognizing and supporting outstanding teachers of excellence in Georgia schools. He made a special trip to Jones County High School March 19 to recognize Windy Armona, who was one of his former students. Armona currently serves as a satellite GNETS special education teacher at Jones County High School teaching students in grades 9-12. Woods presented Armona with two medals of honor for her distinguished service for students and for National Teacher of Excellence.
