With the region schedule complete, the goal for the Greyhounds is straightforward.
After this week’s spring break, Jones County wraps the season up next week with two road matchups against Upson Lee and East Laurens next Tuesday and Thursday.
“We just want to get the seniors and this team a win. We just want to keep fighting for each other,” Greyhounds head coach Nathan Robertson said.
JCHS did its fair share of that in last week’s final region match of the season against Ola. Thanks to a Brian Sorrell goal, the Greyhounds trailed 2-1 at halftime before the Mustangs got one goal from a deflection off the goal post and another from a penalty kick.
“Our effort’s been better the last few games, so I am proud of them for that,” Robertson said. “We just have to find a way to finish. If we can do that, we’ll be in a lot more games.”
