Marsha Kay Meade

Feb. 13, 1952 - July 13, 2025

Marsha Kay Meade passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Atrium Navicent Macon. She was 73 years old.

Marsha was born on February 13, 1952, in Anita, Iowa, to the late Myron and Leona Harris. She was a woman of immense kindness whose gentle soul and sincerity touched everyone she met. Marsha loved her family above all else. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, brothers, cousins, and countless friends.

Born in Iowa, Marsha’s parents moved their family to California in 1960. Here, she started her career and raised her family in Huntington Beach. Two years ago, Marsha moved to Gray to be closer to her son and quickly became an active part of the community. She was a devoted member of Gray Methodist Church and participated wholeheartedly in the senior adult ministry, Friday Lunch Bunch, Wednesday Night Bible Study, and Women in Missions.

Marsha’s greatest joy was her family, especially her six grandchildren who affectionately called her “Grammie.” She would want them to remember all the fun times they shared together—her famous Grammie mac and cheese, making Christmas cookies, and “Grammie’s Mix” that never failed to make every occasion special. Whether it was watching On Patrol with her brother (and usually a grandchild or two), playing cards around the table with a pocketful of nickels for games of “99,” or simply teaching by example to work hard, love deeply, and never give up, Marsha’s life was a beautiful testament to patience and devotion.

Marsha is survived by her children: Cayce and Andrew and their families. She is also survived by her brothers, Steve and Tom Harris and their families.

Gray Memorial Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the care of the Marsha Meade family. You may share your memories and condolences on-line at graymemorialchapel.com.
