John Carlton Peed, 74 passed on July 12, 2025, at his home in Jones County. John was born in Albany, GA on Aug. 28, 1950. John is survived by his wife; Patricia F. Peed, sons; Jonathan T. Peed, Jeremy A. Peed, William Joel Peed and sister; Cindy Bowman-Peed Chapman.
John was married to Patricia for 48 and a half years and has five grandchildren. John attended Lanier High School in Macon, GA.
John always quipped that he was a redneck from Butler. John was an animal advocate and was an avid birdwatcher, loved nature. John was a Navy man and proud of it. He was retired from the DOT.
