The Kiwanis Club of Jones County held its annual raffle recently to raise money for projects that benefit children in our community.
The drawing was held in downtown Gray and a video of the drawing was posted on the Facebook page of the Kiwanis Club.
Richard Latham won first prize which consisted of a Ruger hunting rifle, a meat slicer, a meat grinder, and a vacuum sealer.
Doug Carr won second prize, which was a Samsung 65-inch TV.
Julie Happoldt won the $250 third prize.
Most of the prizes were donated by Gray Memorial Chapel owner Scott Walston, who is also a member of the Kiwanis Club.
The club made $10,000 from the raffle which will be used to fund gifts to organizations that help children. Thefirstgiftwillbeto the Children’s Hospital in Macon as a part of the Dairy Queen‘s fundraiser in support of the Children’s Hospital.
