Georgia Joann Kirksey passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Piedmont Macon Healthcare following an extended illness. A gathering for family and friends was held Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Gray Memorial Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Joann was born on December 17, 1957, in Macon, GA to the late James and Georgia Hubbard Robertson.
Joann was a devoted childcare worker for the Kiddie College Academy. She enjoyed and cared for babies during her career. Joann can best be described as a simple woman who lived her life selflessly. Joann never failed to make loving her children and grandchildren her top priority. Her sense of humor with her short jokes made her enduring to her children and grandchildren alike. Joann will forever be remembered by those who loved her most for her devoted, loving and caring spirit that will love on in their hearts forever. Her home was a welcomed gathering place for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas where the presents flowed from under the tree filling the room.
She is survived by her two daughters, Anita (Dustin) Harris and Candace (Donnie Jones) Kirksey; lifelong partner, Andy Barrett; grandchildren, Haven Clance, Hanah Clance, Anthony Young, Autumn Jones, Summer Jones, Elizabeth Goolsby, Alex Goolsby, Haleigh Goolsby, Colton Harris, Dalton Harris, and Bella Harris.
