Ronald Emory “Ronnie” Holloway, 74, of Gray, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery.
Ronnie was born in Macon, Georgia on October 15, 1951, to the late Thomas Hughes Holloway and Louise Stembridge Holloway.
He retired as a deputy sheriff from the Jones County Sheriff’s Office after 34 years of dedicated service. Throughout his career, he also served as a GEMA instructor, teaching rescue and fire department classes to first responders across the state.
Ronnie was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed playing bingo with friends at the Moose Lodge. He will be remembered for his years of public service, his willingness to teach and help others, and the friendships he made throughout his life.
Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Julie Holloway of Gray; sons, Stephen Holloway (Kirsten) of Gray and Michael Holloway (Jamie) of Milledgeville, Georgia; grandchildren: Zach, Dylan, Angel, Kayson, Aubree, Megyn, Michaela, and Chase; and sisters, Linda Maddox (Tyler Mitchell) of Macon and Debra Wilson (Gus) of Gray.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Holloway.
