9/11 event

Dear Editor,

Our 9-11/Patriot Day Prayer and Appreciation event was a great success! It was our first time doing a lunch event, and we didn’t really know what to expect, but we were SO delighted with the response of our local first responders and military veterans. I don’t have a number, because I lost count, but many of our local heroes joined us in Carol’s Park to enjoy the free lunch, and the majority were able to stay for our time of prayer, decrees, and blessings at noon.

This was a very special time with our local heroes and we really enjoyed getting to know them better. Watching them interact, and being able to pray with many of them individually, was a true honor and blessing. These men and women have no idea how much they blessed us by responding to our invitation. We wanted to honor them, but they are the ones who honored us!

To those who were not able to attend, please know you are appreciated and prayed for by the community of Jones County. We are blessed to have you serving and protecting us.

My sincerest appreciation to the members of Team KBOMIN, as well as to all who contributed homemade goodies, stuffed hamburger and hot dog buns, stopped in to express their personal thanks, and made themselves available to pray individually with these men and women. You were a tremendous blessing!

However, there is one first responder I must tell you about. You see, I had a CRITICAL NEED that was a matter of eternal life or eternal death. This First Responder supplied my most important need.

I was sinner, hopelessly lost in this sinful world. The same is true of you. Everyone is born this way! The ONLY hope any of us have is in this First Responder. His name is Jesus. He is also called the Christ, Messiah, Yeshua, Savior, Redeemer, Deliverer, king of Kings and lord of Lords. He is the Lover of your soul.

The proof is in the fact that He, the Son of God, left Heaven, and came to this sinful world for one reason; to pay the price for our sins by dying in our place. Wrongly accused, sentenced, and tortured, He WILLINGLY laid down His life to pay our sin debt, SO THAT WE COULD BE FORGIVEN. Then He arose from death to life to show that we can live eternally - WITH HIM!

THERE IS COMING A DAY that you will die a physical death. However, your soul does not die. It will continue to live, eternally, in either Heaven or Hell. Those who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior will LIVE FOREVER. Those who DO NOT accept His free gift of salvation will DIE FOREVER, without ever actually dying. This is literally a horror that never ends! Your destination is up to you. Make your choice today!

Be a first responder. Tell others about the gift of salvation and its benefits. Holy Spirit will work through you, if you are willing.

Sincerely, Debra Hall
