On behalf of Jones County History and Heritage, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to the homeowners who allowed us to use their homes in our latest book, “Historic Homes of Jones County.” I would also like to give a special thanks to James Newberry for his passion for historic preservation and his photo file of these beautiful homes, which gave origin to our desire to publish this book.
It is our desire to preserve the rich heritage of our County and our means of accomplishing this has been through those people who have so graciously shared a portion of their lives with us. These stories as well as the input from so many others have made this book as well as our “107 Series” of books possible.
