May 2026 is marvelous, momentous, miraculous, and a month of great magnitude.
The 75th annual National Day of Prayer Service held on May 7th was a tremendously powerful time of prayer for us in Jones County. Many commented they thought it was the most powerful one yet! There was shift in the spiritual atmosphere of our community during this time of intercession. Expect to see the impact of these prayers locally and nationally. I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation for all who attended, prayed and led in worship. You made a difference that night!
Other pivotal events related to America’s 250th birthday will occur this month. I fully believe the upcoming events are direct answers to prayers offered locally, around the state, and across the nation, in addition to the diligent prayers offered by faithful Christ followers in their homes around the world. Sabbath 250 is from sundown on May 15 to nightfall on May 16th. President Trump is calling on all Americans, regardless of faith, to observe National Sabbath 250 in prayer for America from sundown on May 15 to nightfall on May 16th. Y’all, this is major. If you are part of God’s Church, you need to treat this day with great holiness and somberness. Scripture tells us the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man profits much. (James 5:16) Keep on, maybe even increase your praying! Why? Prayer is an action that activates the hand of God and to bring about righteous things.
I believe the prayer bowls of heaven are full and the answers to many prayers are about to be realized. May 17 is Rededicate 250, the appointed time our nation will officially and publicly be rededicated to God. Rededicate 250 is a covenant moment marking a return to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It the set date for American government to return to the biblical foundation of our nation. May 17 is the same date our nation was originally dedicated to God. When the pilgrims first landed on the shores of this nation, Captain Robert Hunt tore wood from his ship and erected a cross before proclaiming “We do hereby dedicate this land, and ourselves, to reach the people within these shores with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains, and may this land, along with England, be evangelists to the world. May all who see this cross remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this covenant and this most noble work, that the Holy Scriptures may be fulfilled. From these very shores the gospel shall go forth, not only to this new world, but the entire world.” May 17 is a day of huge significance! In fact, it is probably the most important day in our lifetime. Please declare this proclamation to rededicate America in addition to your own prayers. This is a deal so big it is of gargantuan proportions! On this day, in the mighty name of Yeshua, and through the power of Holy Spirit, America will once again be One Nation Under God!
Only two days later, May 19, is the Georgia Primary Election. This is another landmark day for our state and nation, as the results will set the stage for the General Election on November 3. Do your homework, pray, and cast your vote. Church, it is up to you and me. This is it! Do your job in intercessions because nobody else can do it for you! Take hold of and run with all that God has made available to us. Continue in dedicated prayer for America to return to our foundation. Just as Nehemiah responded to the need in his day, so must we stand in the gap. Being a watchman is not a title, it’s a position. Don’t leave your post. 2 Chronicles declares “If My People, Who Are Called by to My Name, Will Humble Themselves, Pray, and Seek My Face and Turn from Teir Evil Ways, Then I Will Hear from Heaven, Forgive Their Sin, and Heal Their Land.” Armor Up and Declare God’s Word over America.
Psalm 22:27–28 (MSG) declares: “From the four corners of the earth people are coming to their senses, are running back to God. Long-lost families are falling on their faces before Him. God has taken charge; from now on, He has the last word.” Lastly, we need to remember that Pentecost Sunday is May 24. This marks the time Holy Spirit invaded the Upper Room and the believers were all filled with Christ’s power.
