Real Life

–George Sheffield “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm….” (Joel 2:25) Hornworms devour tomato plants. Like hornworms, sin starts out small and hidden, but in time grows into a monstrous thing that is seen by everyone, no longer able to be hidden in spite of our efforts to do so. Sin devours the essence of our lives, stripping us bare of hope and even life. It ravages any fruit we produce, making us barren for the cause of Jesus and for others in our lives. And if not stopped, these sinworms will eventually kill us.

We need Jesus to come in and remove the sinworms out of our lives, freeing us from the destructive effects that sin produces. And then by His power and grace, we can sprout a new beginning, new fruit, new hope. Jesus will restore to us what sin has eaten. Jesus will renew us, healing what sin has wounded.

Jesus will do this for you if you ask Him too.

He knocks at the door of your heart (Rev 3:20) ready to clear and cleanse your life of sin for your good and His glory.

Please let Him in. Aren’t you tired of the sinworms crawling through your life?
