Real Life

“And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.”Luke 1:33 On this date, March 6, in 1836, the Alamo fell to Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. All 186 defenders of the Alamo, including Davy Crockett, were killed. They died for a kingdom, the kingdom of Texas. But as great as Texas is, it’s kingdom will one day end. All the kingdoms of this earth will one day end. History is full of kingdoms that have come and gone.

But the Kingdom of God will never end. And Jesus will be its forever King. Santa Ana prevailed against the gates of the Alamo, but as Jesus declared, the gates of hell will not prevail against God’s kingdom.

Jesus gave His life for His kingdom, not to defend it because it is indestructible. He gave His life for the people of His kingdom, to grow His kingdom. By His death, the church was born, and people were born again. His kingdom will continue to grow as “the Lord adds to the church daily such as should be saved”--Acts 2:47. No troops of this world or of Satan’s world will defeat the Father’s kingdom.

Question is, are you a part of God’s kingdom?

Have you been Born Again by faith in the King of the kingdom--Jesus Christ? If not, today can be your day of salvation.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.”--Acts 16:31.
