Aniya Canty’s sophomore campaign at Florida A&M is off to a strong start as she is one of the Rattlers’ offensive leaders. In addition to leading the team in total bases, she is second in batting average, doubles and RBIs. FAMU opens conference play this weekend against Alabama State.
Destin Howard is one of five pitchers to see time this year for Georgia, which is 18-2 and ranked 10th. The Lady Bulldogs begin SEC play this weekend in hosting Tennessee.
Two JCHS products have been part of the pitching strength of Gordon State so far this year with Dawson Harris and Brody Gordon having a combined five starts. Gordon State was 10-10 starting this week and begins conference play Thursday at Andrew College and Friday and Saturday at East Georgia.
At Brevard College, Jacob Thompson has a 3.40 ERA through two starts and three appearances.
At Georgia College & State Keegan Baxter has seen considerable time, batting .364 in nine games with nine runs driven in with Aiden Payne also seeing action on three occasions thus far.
