VOLLEYBALL
One of Jones County High School’s own has taken the reins of the Lady Greyhounds volleyball program.
Leah Bodnarchuk — also a PEC teacher at JCHS who additionally heads up the school’s transition academy — was among the new overall coaching hires approved last week by the Jones County Board of Education. But she’s no stranger to athletics, having coached the school’s 2006 competition cheerleading squad that won a state title.
She’ll be assisted next fall by a staff that will also include Amanda Mercer and Kelly Roberson.
