Jones County basketball standouts of years past showed that they could still hoop it up on the hardwood Saturday during the second iteration of the JCHS Basketball Alumni Game.
The game, which featured plenty of back-and-forth action and cheering from the stands, concluded with Team Harvey beating Team Patrick 62-54.
“Me and Principal (Dennis) Woofolk, we coached a lot of those guys,” Lady Greyhounds head coach Takeo Gray said. “So it was fun for everybody.”
Team Ray Patrick’s preliminary roster was comprised of those including Devin Wooten, Jerome Wooten, Bryson Wooten, Maleek Wooten, Trey McCoy, Josh Godwin, Nate Brown, and former Lady Greyhounds standout Chimere Jordan. Team James Harvey’s roster included Dennis Woolfolk Jr., Adam Jackson, Marquis Jackson, Hunter Jackson, JayVaughn Patterson, Landreveius Bowden, Jameson Bryant, John Davis, Chuck Pitts, and Chavis Mathis.
Saturday’s event ended with a team photo of both teams at center court.
