When it comes to the time for the region tournament, the Greyhounds should be well tested following Saturday’s trek to the GSGA Boys Invitational in Carrollton. In a tournament that included some teams that contend for state titles each season, JCHS was led by Ben Ridley finishing 78th overall out of competitors from all teams. Just two places behind was Barrett Beasley with Cameron Page coming in 89th overall.

The Lady Hounds faced similar competition in the GSGA girls’ event earlier this month in Snellville, coming in 12th where they were led by Keegan Goins being tied for 15th at 19 over par, Karlie Hoffman in 45th at 40 over par and Sara Utley in 54th.

The Greyhounds have a handful of outings close to home scheduled for the coming weeks. After being part of the Stratford Invitational on April 10, Jones County plays at Houston County April 13 and at Ola on April 18. The Lady Greyhounds will also be part of those three events.
