Region play ended for the Greyhounds last week with continued forward progress being shown for a team with only one senior. Jones County’s 3-1 loss to Eagles Landing on Thursday was their second loss by a two-goal margin in three contests, their best showing in that span of matches all season long. Against Hampton, JCHS rallied back after getting on the board on a Will Utley goal assisted by Kraegan Knight. The Greyhounds kept battling after that as well, getting another goal by Utley on a penalty kick prior to Jones County’s third goal of the night with just over five minutes to go on a score by Caleb Waters.
The Greyhounds conclude the season April 16, hosting Bleckley County.
