The Gym Hounds took to the arena of competition for the first time on Saturday, battling teams from as north as Oconee County and as far south as Camden County to post top finishes in varsity and JV competition at the Golden Hawk Invitational held at Elite Gym USA in Milledgeville. A pair of third-place individual finishes led Jones County in the varsity ranks. Caroline Barfield carried home a finish of third in the floor routine with Kennedie Dyer being third in all around.

On the JV side, Kayle Wilson was first in all around to go with being second on both the beam and bars. The JV effort was also augmented by Alexa Johnson being second in all around and third on the team and bars.

The Gym Hounds compete again March 10 at Excel Academy in an event hosted by Ola and host the Greyhound Invitational March 18.
