The depth, not to mention the future of Jones County’s cross country program, was put forward Saturday in Bleckley County with the JV boys placing second as a team and the Lady Greyhounds finishing third.
The girls’ finish saw three seasonbest times posted, one being 10th-place Catelen Myers with a time of 25:23.50 in addition to times of 28:03.10 and 29:06.30 by Brooklyn Rogers and Sage Ward to finish 16th and 18th.
Those finishes were supplemented by Macie White and Taylor Minter, whose times of 26:42.90 and 27:25.90 gave them finishes of 13th and 14th.
Ian Borsahole and Gunner Kent ran times of 20:22.90 and 20:36.00 to finish sixth and ninth in the boys JV race. Dawson Walker’s season-best time of 20:44.00 gave him a finish of 13th in front of the times of 20:53.30 and 20:56.30 by Dalton Russell and Landon Steinmeyer as they came in 15th and 17th to round out the top JCHS finishes.
