GREYHOUND GOLF

With the season working its way toward the postseason on the golf course, the Lady Greyhounds are hitting their stride, having recently beaten Upson Lee in addition to winning last week’s Bear Invitational with three golfers setting personal bests.

Leading the charge in the Bear Invitational was Keegan Goins with a round of 75. That, combined with personal best rounds from Kimber Kent and Karlie Hoffman with rounds of 75 and 83 helped JCHS post an overall team score of 256 with the cumulative score being helped by Sara Utley’s round of 100.

Following a round against Lamar County with Goins, Kent and Ava Cribb having rounds of 40, 46 and 52, the Lady Hounds won by three strokes as a team, shooting a 136 overall, with low scorers for the Lady Hounds being 44 from Goins and Kent and Hoffman’s 48.

In the boys’ match against Upson Lee, the Greyhounds fell by six strokes in having a round of 167. Even in the loss, two set personal bests as Ridley had a 37 and Bridgeman carded a round of 43. Hester also shot a 41 with a 46 coming from Beasley.
