In more ways than one, playing well to close out a season is important. While it’s key to generate momentum for next month’s region tournament that will decide berths in the state tournament, the final throes of a season also play a big part of setting the table for next season, especially for a team that is youth-laden.

That goal was attained by both of Jones County’s tennis teams last week with both winning at home against Warner Robins. The Greyhounds and Lady Greyhounds hosted Union Grove this past Tuesday and play at Eagles Landing on Thursday before having some time off before the region tournament on April 9-10 in McDonough.
