Regardless of age or ability, there are plenty of avenues to take on the fastgrowing sport of pickleball in Jones County as the summer begins. Jones County Pickleball’s summer leagues begin the first week of June, offering either novice or experienced players the opportunity to take the court.
The fixed partner league will take place each Monday starting June 2 at 6:30 p.m., and the cost is $15 for Jones County Pickleball members and $20 for non-members.
Those wanting to start their morning with pickleball can sign up for the morning league which begins June 6 and is free of charge.
Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. will call for two different leagues. The open/co-ed league will begin June 3 with the Queen of the Court Women’s League set to commence on June 3. The cost for both leagues is $15 for JCPC members and $20 for non-members.
The teen league will take pickleball to the courts under the lights starting June 4. Free of charge, the league will take place on Wednesdays and Friday at 8 p.m., it’ll also award the top two finishers in the league with berths in the Oct. 3-4 Southern Pickleball Championships in Macon.
