The meshing and continuing to work to find the right combinations continue for the Lady Greyhounds, who fell 9-1 last Thursday to an Ace Charter team that regularly makes a deep postseason push.

Jones County showed some early grit, cutting an early 2-0 lead in half on a goal by Daisy Blanton 12:50 into the match before being overpowered by the Lady Gryphons as the game went on.

Jones County used the competition to shuffle its lineup a bit, having Shayla Pennington rotate between playing in the field and in goal, where she stopped an early penalty kick try by Ace.

The Lady Hounds, whose three losses are to two teams with winning records and one with a .500 mark, host Peach County Friday and go to Lamar County Tuesday before region play begins March 3 at Locust Grove. The first region home match is March 14 against Union Grove.
