GREYHOUND SOCCER
The Greyhounds started slow out of the gate last Tuesday against ELCA, and it ended up costing Jones County dearly.
The Greyhounds yielded a pair of first-half goals, one in the opening minutes against the Chargers before going on to lose 3-1 as ELCA added a goal in the closing minutes. Before and even after trailing by two goals late, Jones County was able to generate chance after chance to draw closer, if not even. But bad breaks or luck ended up being the undoing of JCHS, which hosts Stockbridge on Friday.
“You’ve got to execute the chances that you get, that’s something we were unable to do,” Greyhounds head coach Clark Sweatt said.
