Deeper, experienced Hounds eyeing lofty heights

The past two seasons, the Greyhounds have fought tooth and nail in one of the more competitive basketball regions in the state, coming agonizingly short of the state tournament each time.

There are two ways for the Lady Greyhounds to look back on last season. On one hand, they showed grit and a no-quit mentality as the season went on, and that paid off as they willed their way into another state tournament appearance.

JCHS set to host big-time opponents in invitational

Regular-season mode has arrived for Jones County’s basketball teams. What amounts to the preseason ended on Saturday afternoon in the JCHS Gymnasium with both teams sweeping a preseason scrimmage with Peach County.
