Hunter Safety Class
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will be conducting the required Hunter Safety classes soon in Jones County. Georgia Law requires the Hunter Safety Certification for anyone born on or after Jan 1, 1961, in order to hunt on public lands.
A classroom course taught by qualified instructors with hands on training will be taught on Saturday, Aug. 19, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This class will be held at the Jones County Fire Station 5 in Wayside. Attendance is required to be certified. There is no cost for this class. All supplies are provided.
Signing up for the classes on the DNR site is required and easy. Simply go to https:// georgiawildlife.com/hunting/ huntereducation and click on the ‘Find and sign up for a class’ under FREE COURSES. You will have to create an account if you do not have one. Make sure the account is for the Student taking the class. Lunch is not provided but options will be available at a small cost.
2nd Annual LUCAS KADE STRONG Family 5K fun run
