David “Demun” Jones presented his fifth Jones County Day Concert Sept. 17 at the Jones County Lions Club Fairgrounds in front of a crowd of approximately 1,500 people. The concert was opened by Cam Smith. The Jones County Day Concerts began in 2016, and Jones’ efforts to give back to his community have raised more than $100,000 for the Jones County School System. Saturday’s event is anticipated to realize another contribution close to $20,000. The funds from this year’s concert are dedicated to support the arts programs in Jones County Schools. The performer’s latest album, “Family First,” was released last week and can be downloaded on Pandora, YouTube Music and Spotify.
