“For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Gen 3:19) This verse is probably the only verse in the Bible that Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson believes. The astrophysicist has preached that eventually we return to dirt, that we are all just future worm food. You live, you die, you decompose, and you are no more. Forever gone.
But God says differently.
Although we will die and decompose, we will still Be. We don’t cease to exist. As believers in Christ, our deaths bring our spirits into Heaven (2 Cor 5:8), and one day Jesus will ressurrect our dust to glorified bodies like unto His own (Phil 3:20-21). Don’t worry, He won’t miss one atom of your dust.
Jesus will undo what sin, disease, death, and even worms, have done, and we will live forever in immortal bodies never subject to corruption again. Those who believe like Dr. Neil will also live forever, but in an eternal hell where the worms never die (Mk 9:48), suffering the Father’s holy wrath for rejecting His holy Son (Jn 3:36). Unless Dr. Neil gets saved, he will get all the worms he wants.
As for me, give me the worm free life of Heaven please. Thank you Jesus.
