These all died in faith (Heb 11:13) To die in faith is to die a believer in Jesus. So many will die lost, outside the faith, because they rejected the calling of Jesus in their lives. Make sure of your salvation so that when your hour comes-and it will come--you die in the faith of Jesus Christ.
To die in the faith also means to die living out the faith, serving Jesus faithfully, to die with your Jesus boots on. It doesn’t mean living out the faith sinlessly because you won’t and I won’t. The old flesh pulls at us and at times it may pull us to sin.
When it does, we need to confess and forsake that sin and move on in our walk through this life in a serving faith, in a believing faith, doing for Jesus, worshipping Jesus, and eventually dying in Jesus. To die in faith is to live out your faith, your life, for the glory of Christ Jesus.
Ol’ Hank once sang I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive, and unless Jesus comes back before you die, that will be true. But we can get out of this world in the faith, forever alive in Christ. Live in the faith. No better way to live. Die in the faith. No better way to go.
