The staff at The Cottages of Milledgeville want their independent living and assisted living residents to experience this feeling every day. From the all-inclusive lifestyle of their patio homes for independent living, to help with daily routines and activities in their assisted living suites, this resident-centered community is unique to Milledgeville and all of Georgia’s Lake Country.
When you enter this gated community, you may notice that every patio home has its own unique landscaping.
Residents choose their own flowers and shrubs according to their individual tastes and desires. Each one-level home has its own attached one-car garage, front porch, and back patio.
The functional floor plans, spacious rooms, ample closet space, and floored attics make downsizing easier. All appliances, including washer/dryer and a built-in microwave, are provided, and all interior and exterior maintenance is included at The Cottages. All utilities, except telephone and expanded cable, are included. For added security and peace of mind, each cottage has its own alarm and emergency call system, as well as a daily check-in system.
Assisted living residents at The Cottages enjoy their own private luxury suites, while receiving any help with daily routines and activities they may need. The amenities for assisted living residents include three delicious, well-balanced meals every day, housekeeping and personal laundry service, medication supervision, scheduling, follow-up, and transportation to medical appointments.
From our one-bedroom studio to one-bedroom deluxe to two-bedroom deluxe, our assisted living suites have been designed to provide both comfort and convenience for our residents. Each suite has its own spacious living room with separate bedrooms in the deluxe suites. The private bathrooms include safety features and large walk-in closets.
Though three meals a day are provided in our dining room, each assisted living suite has its own kitchenette, complete with a dorm style refrigerator/freezer and a built-in microwave for enjoying late-night snacks or entertaining friends and family.
Each room has its own 24-hour emergency call system, and a nurse is on-call 24 hours a day.
Everyone on our team at The Cottages of Milledgeville believes that our residents have a lot of life left to live, and these years should be exciting and joyful.
So, they offer a variety of daily activities for both independent living and assisted living residents.
From college students to fellow seniors, outside entertainers love performing regularly for our residents. From live theatre performances to concerts to sight-seeing excursions to restaurants, residents enjoy frequent excursions on the Cottages Coach.
One of the more unique activities for our residents is participation in the Cottage Cardinals, a handbell choir made up of residents from independent and assisted living. Residents can participate in rehearsals and performances regardless of their musical ability and experience.
