Lafayette returns to Jones County
The Kiwanis club recently donated $2600 to the Eston Altman Scouting Center of Jones County. President, Darrell Partee and Kiwanian Charles Newberry made the presentation to Mrs. Brandy Spires, representing the scouting center. The donation represents some of the proceeds from the Francis Golson golf tournament. CONTRIBUTED

Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) swore in two new volunteers on February 24, 2025. CASA volunteers serve as the voice for children in foster care and what is in their best interest. The Kiwanis Club made a donation of $750 to the Jesus Hands ministry which provides meals for children whose families cannot afford proper meals on weekends. President Darrell Partee and Kiwanis member Owen Pruitt made the donation to Patricia Ash, who leads the ministry. CONTRIBUTED
