The Kiwanis Club recently honored James Rackley as STAR Student for 2023 and Rusty Owens as STAR Teacher at a banquet held in the dining hall of Gray Baptist Church. James selected Mr. Owens who taught him in the fifth grade at Turner Woods Elementary.

Rallie ‘Rooster’ Cogburn Served in the US Navy, Petty Officer 2nd Class, as an Aircraft Electrician from 1976-1981 at Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL. During this time, he served on the flight deck on the John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier.
