Gray Church of God yard sale

Gray Church of God will have a multifamily yard sale Saturday, May 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 137 Atlanta Road, Gray. Some clothes are free, baby items, tools, furniture, etc.

JCHS Unified Bingo Night Fundraiser

Jones County High School Unified will have a Bingo Night Fundraiser May 13, at the Jones County Fair Grounds. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. and Bingo will begin at 7:00 p.m. Lions Club of Gray will serve a spaghetti dinner, including spaghetti, salad, bread, tea/ lemonade, for $6 per plate, all desserts are an additional $1 donation. Bingo prices are $20 for 6 game sheets, $10 for an extra pack, $2 for extra card, $5 for 3 extra cards, and $1 for daubers. There will also be a Silent Auction. Each athlete and partner are asked to bring in an item for the Silent Auction by May 9. Ideas for the silent auctions are a round of golf, homemade crafts, gift baskets, gift cards, etc. Bingo Night will also offer 50/50 Raffle and door prizes. All proceeds will benefit the Jones County Special Olympics program.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Library will have a book sale Saturday, May 14, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 273 Railroad Street in Gray (next to the JCHS track). All books will be $1 or less. New inventory every month. Feature of the month: Gardening & Home Improvement. Proceeds go to the Jones County Library.

REGULAR MEETINGS

• Bradley Baptist Church will have Sunday services at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Drive-in services can tune to 89.1 for both services. Sunday school will be at 10:00 a.m.

• The JCHS FFA Alumni Chapter meets the second Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. inside the JCHS lunchroom. Membership is open to anyone, even if they were not a former FFA member.

• Al-Anon meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Jones County Senior Center, 126 Senior Center Way. For information, call 986-7192.

• St. Paul AME Church will be having a clothing bank the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at 127 Saint Paul Church Circle.

• The Jones County Kiwanis Club meets every Monday in the fellowship hall of Gray Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m.

• Velma McFadden Missionary Food Bank, located at Greater Jordan Chapel Church in Haddock, will be open the first Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The mobile food truck will be open every third Thursday from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. The mobile distribution will be the fourth Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. For emergency food assistance, please call 957- 8773.

• New Harvest Church of God, 12689 Highway 87, Juliette, hosts a community prayer service every Monday in the sanctuary at 6:30 p.m.; it does not end until everyone is finished praying. • The Jones County Amateur Radio Society (JCARS) meets the first Thursday of each month at the Jones County EMA office classroom on Industrial Boulevard in Gray at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome. • Greater Faith Revelational Outreach Ministries, 1501 Highway 22 East, Haddock, distributes free nonperishable canned goods every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This food bank ministry is free for those who are in need.
