Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m. at Carol’s Park. A quiet walk from Carol’s Park to Ingles then back to Carol’s Park. As the cross is carried, it will be followed silently praying for the souls of Jones County. All are invited to attend this Easter prayer event.

March on Main for Babies

Friday, May 9, Main Street Gray, 103 Atlanta Road, Gray. 4 p.m. registration time, 5 p.m. event start time. This volunteer-led March for Babies Walk is hosted and organized by dedicated March of Dimes volunteers in this community to fight for the health of all moms and babies.

Swing A Club for CASA Golf Tournament

Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and The Club at Lake Sinclair present Swing A Club for CASA Golf Tournament on Friday, May 16, 2025. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. at 3700 Sinclair Dam Road, Milledgeville. Registration is $150 per person and includes green fees, cart, swag bag, drinks, lunch and appetizers at the awards ceremony. (Team of 4 is $600). To register, visit bit. ly/2025CASAGOLF. Prizes will be given for top teams and the “Hit It and Get It” putting challenge.

Awards ceremony entertainment will be provided by Scott Little. Join Ocmulgee CASA for a day of fun, competition and camaraderie. All proceeds benefit local foster care children from Baldwin, Greene, Hancock, Jasper, Jones, Morgan, Putnam and Wilkinson counties.

Elmyr Henderson Memorial Scholarship

Applications for the Elmyr Henderson Memorial Scholarship through the Gray Garden Club are currently being accepted. One $1000 scholarship will be offered for the 2025 graduating class. Applications are available for any high school senior who is a resident of Jones County. Applications may be obtained from the JCHS Counselor’s office or at the Jones County Public Library. All application requirements must be completed and submitted to the Counselor’s office or to the contact person. The deadline for receiving applications is April 14, 2025. Miriam Ethridge Scholarship

Applications for the Miriam Ethridge Pilot Club of Jones County Scholarships are currently being accepted.

Two $1,500 scholarships will be offered for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications for the scholarships are available to any high school senior who is a resident of Jones County.

Applications may be obtained from the School Counselor’s office at Jones County High School, or any of the following locations in Gray: Ace Hardware, Exchange Bank, Magnolia Bank, Morris Bank, Cadence Bank and the Jones County Public Library, or Pilot Club of Jones County Facebook page.
