William Carl Black is the local veteran of the week. He served in the U.S. Air Force from July 17, 1952 - Aug.
16, 1956. He was a technical sergeant and also served in the Air Force Reserve. He was stationed at Dobbins Air Force Base and in Tripoli, Libya. He also played baseball on the Air Force team.
