Veterans celebrated last weekend

Jones County’s Veterans Appreciation Day for 2024 was a huge, flag-waving success with a patriotic march of heroes and a program to honor their service.The day began with the Col. Allen Carr 5K race that had a record number of runners. The program for the Nov.

Head Start holds fall festival

Jones County Head Start hosted fall festival and Dad’s Day: Kids holding the bears are second and third runners up for selling raffle tickets to raise money for the Parent Group. The Parent Group votes on what activities to spend their money towards. The group raised a little over $1,300.
