Each of the candidates for chair of the Jones County Board of Education were sent nine questions, and their answers appear in their entirety. The answers begin with an introductory statement from the candidates of what they wanted voters to know about them.
An in-person forum with the three candidates will take place Thursday, April 28, at 6 p.m. at Butler Hall, located in front of the Jones County Courthouse. The public will have the opportunity to meet the candidates and submit written questions both before and during the forum.

The April 28 forum will be moderated by Aubrey Newby and is sponsored by the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce, Jones County Republican Party and the Jones County News.
The date of the BOE election is May 24. Early voting will take place May 2-20 at the Elections Office in the Government Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday the 7th and 14th, also 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
