“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked” (Jer 17:9) People living in unrepentant sin live in darkness. The longer they live in sin, the darker that darkness grows, and the more deceived they will become. Man’s heart in that darkness is desperately wicked, and in that darkness a person is capable of doing horrendous kinds of evil.
