Driver dies after Highway 49 wreck

The driver in a recent automobile accident in Jones County was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.Jerry Franklin Marlow, 62, of Forsyth, died Feb. 7 as the result of injuries sustained in the accident. His cause of death was reported as trauma from blunt force injuries.

Cleveland Street home burns; no one injured

A house fire on Cleveland Street was quickly brought under control due to the rapid response of first responders.A press release by Gray Fire Chief Keith Eisele stated that the Gray Fire Department was dispatched to the Cleveland Street residence at 9:10 a.m. Feb. 18.
