The Jones County News salutes the local Veteran of the Week

Myrtice Marie Thomas is the local veteran of the week. She achieved the rank of sergeant first class (E7) and retired after 23 years of service in the U.S. Army. Her primary specialty was operating room SP; she served throughout Europe and Asia.

Clifton Ridge Middle School held its Great Math and Science Night, a Title I event for Cougar families to learn about Georgia Milestones testing strategies, engage in hands-on math and science activities, and participate in the school book fair.
