Guilty pleas land burglars in prison

Two defendants and a 2024 burglary case will be spending time in prison for their roles in the burglary of a home on Curtis James Road.Samantha Shamar Thomas and Deiadre Antwann Jackson were in Jones County Superior Court March 20 to enter guilty pleas to their charges.

Judge denies bond for man held on charges of molestation

A defendant arrested last month on several child molestation charges was denied bond in Jones County Superior Court.Kirby Vincent Moore, 55, was arrested Feb. 25 and charged with aggravated sodomy, two counts of child molestation and two additional counts of aggravated child molestation.
