Jones County Animal Services has future family members and companions in a furry form waiting to be adopted and loved by local families.Jennifer Allen, director of Jones County Animal Services, said they always hope to get every dog and cat adopted to avoid euthanasia.

Former JCHS band director back in court

The probation of a former Jones County band director was revoked to serve 227 days in the Jones County jail following outings at two Atlanta venues that attract juveniles.Robert Corey Tanner was in Jones County Superior Court June 20 to stipulate to the probation violations.

The City of Gray received a clean audit report for 2023 at a recent meeting specifically called to hear the presentation.The report was given by David McCoy with the firm of McNair McLemore Middlebrooks and Company CPAs.
