The probation of a former Jones County band director was revoked to serve 227 days in the Jones County jail following outings at two Atlanta venues that attract juveniles.Robert Corey Tanner was in Jones County Superior Court June 20 to stipulate to the probation violations.

The statewide Gang Prosecution Unit Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr created in 2022 is about to expand its operations.Starting Monday, a newly hired prosecutor and a new investigator will oversee the unit's regional efforts in Macon-Bibb County.
