BOE wraps up school year, looks ahead

The final meeting of the school year for the Jones County Board of Education included reflections of events and appreciation for those who made the year a success. Board Chairman Ginger Bailey called the May 14 meeting to order, and she was the first to give her report.

Driver enters guilty plea for gym shooting

A young man who could be the poster child for the importance of taking care when choosing those in his company entered a guilty plea last week to 11 counts of aggravated assault due to the actions of an individual he drove to and from a Jones County recreation center.
