The Gray Fire Department held its sixth annual Halloween Fire Safety Open House Oct. 31 for the community. About 900 residents showed up for a variety of activities related to fire prevention.
Firefighters gave out information about fire prevention, including cooking safety.

City council approves change for trash pickup

Man pleads guilty after sharing edibles with minor

A Jones County man entered a guilty plea to the charge of reckless conduct and received 60 days to serve in the Jones County jail after being charged for sharing what was suspected to be THC edibles with a 13-year-old.
Russell Vann Collins entered his plea Nov. 2 in Jones County Superior Court.
