Probation violations keep man in prison

The refusal of a man convicted of aggravated stalking to have no contact with his victim is the reason he will be serving the balance of his 15-year sentence in prison.Joshua Stacy Fincher was in Jones County Superior Court July 11 facing charges of violation of the conditions of his probation.

City, county come together on joint projects

What has been a contentious negotiation in the past was a congenial meeting last week for Jones County Commissioners and Gray City Council members.The July 14 Special Local Option Sales Tax sessions began with a meeting of four of Jones County’s five county commissioners at 4 p.m.
