Georgia Department of Transportation officials were true to their word and came back to the July meeting of Gray’s committees for a continued discussion about the issue of former truck routes and large trucks in downtown Gray.The D.V.

Cecil Ethridge Jr. has retired twice now, but he still refuses to quit working.After 30 years in one full-time job and 18 in another that was considered full-time, Ethridge is enjoying a more relaxed schedule as a part-time funeral attendant.

Charles G. Washburn Jr. is the local veteran of the week. He enlisted in the Army Air Force in November of 1942. After attending various AAF schools, he graduated as an engineer and top turret gunner and achieved the rank of technical sergeant.He flew 25 missions over Germany and other places.
