Big plays on offense, defense, and special teams put the Greyhounds in position to win on Friday night against Stockbridge. A late time-consuming drive by Jones County sealed the win, as a one-yard burst by Jacob Skinner ended up being the go-ahead score with 47 seconds left in a 46-42 win.
Stockbridge's last-ditch try to win the game came to a halt near midfield with Andre Hall making the game-ending tackle as time ran out.

With Friday's win, Jones County helped itself in the region standings. At 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the region, Jones County is currently in a three-way tie for third with Stockbridge and Hampton, two teams that it has beaten. Ola and Locust Grove are one game ahead in first place, and JCHS plays Locust Grove in the final game of the regular season.
The Greyhounds play next week at McDonough and host ELCA on Oct. 10.
