Led by a pair of big second-half touchdown catches by Nate Vaughn, Jones County exerted control on Friday against ELCA, winning 33-21.
Ahead 13-7 at halftime, the Greyhounds raced to a 33-7 lead early in the fourth quarter prior to the Chargers adding a pair of late scores.

JCHS quarterback Cason Taylor had a total of four touchdown tosses on Friday, two in the first half to Vaughn as well as to Drew Williams which gave the Greyhounds an early 13-0 lead.
Friday's win kept pace for Jones County with the region leaders. The Greyhounds are in a four-way tie for second place in the region with Ola, Stockbridge, and Hampton with 5-2 region records, one game back of first-place Locust Grove, who is 6-1.
Jones County has next week off before playing Oct. 24 at Eagles Landing and hosting Locust Grove on Oct. 31.
