James Edward “Jimmy” Touhy, age 65, of Eatonton, passed away at home on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026.

Services for Jimmy Touhy were conducted Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville with Rev. Danny Lyles officiating. Interment followed in Heritage Memorial Park with Fire Department Honors. The family received friends at the Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Jimmy was born in Macon, GA, on Jan. 20, 1961, to the late Harold Touhy and the late Grace Marie Johnson Touhy. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Touhy, and Bob Touhy (& Carol). He had lived at Lake Sinclair since 1976. Jimmy was a retired Truck Driver, with Fowler-Flemister Concrete, and a Volunteer Firefighter and First Responder, with the Twin Bridges Fire Department, until health issues prevented him from continuing. He attended Lakeshore Community Church and Friendship Baptist Church at Lake Sinclair.

Everyone always looked forward to Jimmy cooking at the annual fish fry at Twin Bridges Fire Station.

He was an avid fisherman, and really liked catching big catfish under the 441 bridge. He also enjoyed creating painted artwork and sharing it with family and friends.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Stephanie Haskins Touhy of Lake Sinclair; his brother, John Touhy (& Dianne) of Jones County; his brother-in-law, Jason Haskins (& Lacie) of Gordon; his sister-in-law, Selena Yancey (& Lee) of Jones County; his fatherin- law, Stuart Haskins of Lake Sinclair; his nieces and nephews, Travis (& Kelley), Lilla, Gabe, Mikey, Chad (& Aime), Caroline, James, Matthew (& Pontsho), and Colin; and his “little buddy,” Logan Davis.

The family has asked, that those who wish, may make memorial contributions to the Twin Bridges Fire Department in Putnam County, GA, or to Friendship Baptist Church at Lake Sinclair in Putnam County.
