The Lady Greyhounds made quick work of Westminster on Tuesday in the opening round of the GHSA Class AAAA state tournament, routing the Wildcats 53-29 to advance to the second round.
The Lady Hounds will host Starr's Mill on Friday in the tournament's round of 16. The Panthers beat St. Pius X 52-43 on Tuesday to advance.
Jones County, now 23-5 on the season, dominated from the outset Tuesday, leading 20-4 through a quarter and 43-12 at halftime. Kamiyah Adams led JCHS with 17 points as the Lady Hounds advanced into the round of 16 for the fourth year in a row.
